Halfway through the first month of the New Year, Netflix has made the decision to whet our collective appetites for films by teasing us with what to look forward to throughout the year. Since it’s a new season, we need fresh, must-see films that will cover and suit every type of entertainment enjoyed throughout the world. The streamer has teased a group of renowned directors, well-known and adored movie stars, as well as ‘Extraction 2’, ‘You People’, ‘Rebel Moon’, in a new teaser as they create huge new worlds and bring back fan favourites in new sequels.
‘You People’
Before the introduction of footage from the next year’s offerings, the trailer opens with a selection of cut sequences from films that were streamed during the course of the previous year. There will be a movie for every mood in this new year, so mark your calendars. You People, which debuts on January 27, is the first big release of the year. In the movie, Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill play a young couple and their families as they try to navigate modern love while dealing with cultural barriers. Next on the schedule is Your Place Or Mine on February 10.

which airs a few days before Valentine’s Day. The movie, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher, chronicles a journey of realising that sometimes, what you desire isn’t what you need. The highly anticipated Luther feature film for the British drama series will come up next. Idris Elba and Andy Serkis are the stars of Luther: The Fallen Sun, which will be available on the streaming service on March 10. Elba plays the detective Luther, who escapes jail to deal with a new bad guy terrorising London.
‘Extraction 2’
On March 31, a comedic mystery starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston that also serves as a follow-up to the 2019 movie will be released. The Mother, starring Jennifer Lopez defending her kid from an assassin, will be the next film on May 12. Lopez’s all-action movie is followed on June 16 by Extraction 2, another movie with lots of gunfire. Yes. Tyler, played by Chris Hemsworth, has returned from retirement to carry out yet another risky extraction, and he is not happy about it. However, it won’t stop the bullets from flying.

They Cloned Tyrone, starring Jaime Foxx and John Boyega, debuts on July 21 as we enter the second half of the year. Then, on August 11, comes Hearts of Stone, a violent action film starring Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot and featuring a lot of gunfire. With Millie Bobby Brown, Angela Bassett, and Nick Robinson slated to feature in Damsel on October 13, if you’re in need of some mediaeval storytelling, you’re in luck. Before The Killer’s release on November 10, Netflix will show Pain Hustlers starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans on October 27. A Family Affair, starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King, puts a focus on family issues on November 17. The cartoon Leo streams on November 22 before Leave The World Behind on December 8 starring Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali. We finish the year on December 22 with Rebel Moon staring Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam. and Djimon Hounsou.
