It was revealed about a year ago that Denzel Washington would return for a third installment of the Equalizer series. Since then, eager fans have been waiting for additional information about the upcoming movie’s narrative. But that wait is finally over. The Equalizer 3’s official synopsis was revealed today, and it is everything fans could have hoped for.
Washington plays Robert McCall in the series. Which is a film revival of the beloved 1980s television program that is now currently playing on television. In the movie series, McCall, a former government assassin, is plagued by the terrible acts he committed in the service of his nation. He starts enforcing justice on the streets to aid the disadvantaged in an effort to help himself find closure with his past. McCall will carry out that mission in the third movie of the trilogy.
Equalizer 3: Denzel in Southern Italy
The synopsis, although concise, delivers precisely what fans had anticipated. With non-stop action and Denzel Washington’s signature bad-guy eliminations, the first two movies of The Equalizer series were a hit. The third installment set in the beautiful setting of Southern Italy promises to be no different. Denzel’s previous performances in movies like Man on Fire and the earlier Equalizer movies show his expertise in taking down villains in large-scale gunfights. The synopsis alone is enough to captivate and excite many fans.

Unveiling the Ensemble Cast Alongside Denzel Washington
The co-stars include Dakota Fanning, Sonia Ben Ammar (from Scream 2022), Gaia Scodellaro (from You, Me and the Apocalypse), and Remo Girone (from Ford v Ferrari). Washington and Fanning will actually reunite in this movie. In the critically acclaimed action thriller Man on Fire from 2004, the two previously acted together. The movie was one of Fanning’s initial leading performances. So it’s thrilling to see them onscreen again again over 20 years later.

Equalizer 3 To complete the trilogy, both Richard Wenk and Antoine Fuqua are back as the director and writer, respectively. The preceding two movies in the trilogy were directed by Fuqua, who is also known for producing critically praised movies like Training Day and Emancipation. Wenk, who also authored the first two movies, has also penned other action films like The Protégé and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.
