Netflix is once again making waves with their new project in the genre of romantic comedies. Following their popular true crime series like Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal and reality shows like Love is Blind. They recently released a trailer for their upcoming film. A Tourist’s Guide to Love, featuring the talented Rachael Leigh Cook from the movie She’s All That and a newcomer named Scott Ly. This follows closely after the release of Your Place or Mine, led by Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher.

In the trailer, we are introduced to Amanda Riley. An exceptional travel agent who is in a long-term relationship that falls apart after her boyfriend announces that he is moving to Ohio. Amanda decides to take a break from her reality and travel to Vietnam on the suggestion of her co-worker. There, she meets Sinh, a young and attractive tour guide who is eager to take her on an adventure. Amidst stunning shots of the Vietnamese countryside, Amanda shares with fellow travelers her desire to rediscover herself through this adventure. The trailer evokes memories of the Julia Roberts movie Eat, Pray, Love, as Amanda immerses herself in the journey with Sinh by her side. As their romance starts to bloom, Amanda’s ex shows up in Vietnam. Forcing her to choose between her past and the exciting adventure with Sinh.
Cast and Crew of ‘A Tourist’s Guide to Love’
The cast of A Tourist’s Guide to Love includes not only Rachael Leigh Cook and Scott Ly but also Missi Pyle as Amanda’s best friend and co-worker, and Ben Feldman as Amanda’s ex-boyfriend who experiences a change of heart during her trip.

The ensemble cast also features Nondumiso Tembe, Andrew Barth Feldman, Glynn Sweet, Nsut Lê Thiên, Alexa Povah, Morgan Dudley, Quinn Trúc, and Jacqueline Correa. The movie is directed by Steven K. Tsuchida, known for his work on Sarah Silverman Program, Community, and Life-Size 2. The screenplay is written by Eirene Tran Donohue, who previously worked on A Christmas Spark.

Rachael Leigh Cook, a popular name in teen films from the late 90s and early 2000s. Landed lead roles in movies such as The Baby-Sitters Club, She’s All That, and Josie and the Pussycats. Her upcoming movie, A Tourist’s Guide to Love, will feature her reuniting with Missi Pyle. Her co-star from Josie and the Pussycats.

This rom-com marks a return to the genre for Cook. Who starred opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in the 1999 teen classic, She’s All That. In recent times, Cook starred in David Poag’s horror movie, Spirit Halloween: The Movie. She will also produce A Tourist’s Guide to Love, along with Joel S. Rice for Muse Entertainment.
