Anna, the wife of Josh Duggar, has been caught up in numerous controversies involving her husband in recent years. Josh admitted to sexually abusing multiple young girls, including his younger sisters, when he was between the ages of 12 and 15. Additionally, he confessed to paying for sex with a woman from the extramarital affairs website Ashley Madison.

However, Josh’s arrest and subsequent conviction for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material have been particularly low points for his family, who have either stayed silent or stood by him. Amy Duggar King, a relative of the Duggar family, has been vocal about her belief that speaking out against her family’s actions is her responsibility.

Despite condemning Josh’s behavior, King has made efforts to offer support to his wife, Anna. However, her attempts to reach out through texts, emails, Instagram, and Twitter have been unsuccessful. King understands that Anna is in a broken place and may not fully comprehend the gravity of the situation yet. She remains open to Anna reaching out to her for support in the future.

King even discussed with her husband the possibility of welcoming Anna and her children into their home when the scandal first broke. However, Anna has not responded to these offers of help, and King acknowledges that she cannot force her to accept it. King expresses her disappointment in not being able to assist Anna without any involvement of cameras or fame, emphasizing that it would be a simple act of family reaching out to family.

In contrast, King states that she will not reach out to Josh due to the heartbreaking nature of his actions. She feels unable and unwilling to make any contact with him after his involvement with Ashley Madison, the abuse revelations concerning his sisters, and the subsequent scandals. King finds his actions vile, wrong, and evil, and she wants no further association with him.

King’s resolve to support survivors of the Institute in Basic Life Principles and their teachings is evident in her participation in Prime Video’s Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets docuseries. She views the project as an opportunity to use her voice and advocate for those who have endured and survived difficult experiences. King believes that survivors should not live in fear, anxiety, or shame and hopes to contribute positively through her involvement in the documentary.

In summary, Amy Duggar King has been persistent in her attempts to support Anna, Josh Duggar’s wife, despite Anna’s lack of response. However, King has decided not to reach out to Josh himself due to the deeply disturbing nature of his actions. Her involvement in the docuseries reflects her commitment to supporting survivors and encouraging them to overcome their past experiences.
