Fans of the critically acclaimed HBO series, The Last of Us, were in for a disappointment when they tuned in for the latest episode, only to find there was none. However, they were treated to a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come in Season 2, courtesy of co-creator and video game producer, Neil Druckmann.
In a tweet, he revealed that Season 2 is already on its way, with the message “Endure & survive!” But it was the accompanying poster that had fans buzzing with excitement, featuring a highly recognizable forearm – that of Abby, a key character from the video game’s sequel.

Druckmann’s tease was not new, as fans had seen a similar poster back in 2017 for Outbreak Day. However, it did reveal some intriguing details about what to expect from Season 2 on HBO. For those unfamiliar with the plot of The Last of Us Part II, Abby is a vital addition to the game’s cast, despite her violent introduction. Players even get to control her for a substantial portion of the game, which is a significant departure from the first installment.
The poster itself is a testament to Abby’s formidable strength, with her muscular forearm gripping a hammer – one of her primary melee weapons in the game. It’s worth noting that the golf club, which holds significant importance in the beginning of Part II, is notably absent from the poster. Fans are now eagerly awaiting Season 2’s release to see how Abby’s character will evolve in the HBO series, and how her story will continue to captivate audiences.
