The Star Wars Celebration Europe event is currently underway and has released an exciting teaser trailer for Ahsoka. The beloved Togruta Jedi, played by Rosario Dawson. It is returning to fight against a dangerous threat that could potentially destroy everything that the heroes from the Original Trilogy worked hard to establish. Let’s take a closer look at the details of the teaser trailer.
The Role of Ahsoka within the Jedi
It is a well-known fact that Ahsoka Tano left the Jedi Order during its final years due to a conspiracy shown in The Clone Wars animated series. Since she was never officially knighted and only held the rank of Padawan, her current status remains a mystery. However, she has appeared in several other Star Wars productions such as Rebels. The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett, where she is seen working with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). Based on this information, it is reasonable to assume that she has returned to being a Jedi.

The Ahsoka trailer shows her exploring the remains of an ancient temple, which may have once been a Jedi structure. She states that the Jedi fell a long time ago, suggesting that any knowledge about them should be preserved and safeguarded. Additionally, it is possible that she is searching for information about the World Between Worlds. A place where one can traverse through the intertwined lines of space and time. Ahsoka previously visited this location in Rebels. The battle she is seen having with Ray Stevenson’s character takes place in a setting that resembles this realm. Implying that she may have returned there.
Rekindling the Rebellion: The Triumphant Return of the ‘Rebels’ Crew
Fans have always wished to see the Rebels cast in live-action movies and television shows. Their wish has now come true. In the teaser, Natasha Liu Bordizzo takes over for voice actress Tiya Sircar in the role of Mandalorian warrior and artist Sabine Wren. Mary Elizabeth Winstead replaces Vanessa Marshall in the role of ace pilot and Rebel general Hera Syndulla. Moreover, Taylor Grey’s voiceover character Jedi Ezra Bridger will now be performed by Eman Esfandi in a live-action adaptation. Of course, we also encounter the veteran droid C1-10P, also known as “Chopper,” who despite having a temper, actually has a heart (or core?) of gold.

Nevertheless, the teaser did not feature the following two Rebels cast members: Zeb Orrelios, a former pilot who used to be a Lasat muscle, and young Jacen Syndulla, Hera’s child with a former lover, Jedi Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.). Whilst it’s presently unknown if we’ll see those two. The fact that Zeb is a New Republic pilot now even suggests the possibility of Captain Carson Teva (Paul Sung-hyung Lee) making an appearance, so cross your fingers!
Ahsoka Trailer: Ivanna Sakhno and Ray Stevenson
Seeing videos with captions on can be quite beneficial. This reveals the name of Ray Stevenson’s character, Baylan. Who appears to be what Legends lore would characterise as a Dark Jedi—a practitioner of the Dark Side who is neither a Sith nor a Jedi anymore. Stevenson is a well-known actor, so it’s wonderful to see him in Star Wars.

The Dark Jedi Joruus C’Baoth from Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire series may have been the inspiration for Baylan. In that narrative, he was an ally of none other than Grand Admiral Thrawn. Who fantasised of wooing Luke Skywalker as an apprentice and controlled early cloning technology, even going so far as to produce a strangely named Luke Skywalker clone of the Jedi Master. Really. If you’re making connections, you’ll notice that cloning technology has been a recurring theme throughout the entire Star Wars franchise. Appearing in both The Mandalorian and the animated series The Bad Batch. With the latter even recreating a key Mount Tantiss facility from Heir to the Empire, located on the planet Weyland. I assume you can see where this is going.
Ahsoka Trailer: Morgan Elsbeth and Thrawn
Grand Admiral Thrawn is only visible from behind, therefore it is difficult to tell who is portraying him. It will be Lars Mikkelsen, who plays his character in the television series Rebels. If the Force heard us, but let’s maintain an open mind about this. The Imperial warlord is leading the efforts to restore the Empire and to acquire cloning technology. Since he has a great deal of respect for the deceased but not truly Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).

Final Verdict!
The Ahsoka teaser trailer released at the Star Wars Celebration Europe event has provided fans with a glimpse of what they can expect from the upcoming show. Ahsoka’s role in the Jedi and her search for knowledge about the World Between Worlds are just some of the intriguing details revealed in the trailer. Moreover, the return of the Rebels crew in live-action format. Along with the introduction of new characters like Baylan played by Ray Stevenson. Has created a buzz among the Star Wars community. With Grand Admiral Thrawn and cloning technology also being hinted at. It seems that Ahsoka has the potential to be a must-watch for all Star Wars fans.
