More information about the highly regarded dystopian Netflix series Black Mirror’s sixth season keeps surfacing as production is currently in full swing. Rory Culkin has joined the already impressive ensemble of the new series, according to recent rumours from Deadline. Major cast members of the anthology series’ sixth season, which Netflix would indeed produce, included Zazie Beetz from Atlanta, Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad, Paapa Essiedu from The Lazarus Project, and Danny Ramirez from Top Gun: Maverick.

There aren’t many specifics about Culkin’s appearance, but Deadline says that the actor has signed a deal to appear in one episode of the anthology series, which will have more episodes than Season 5, which only had three. Although the roles for the previously announced casts were not made public, it was confirmed that they will appear in all three of the season’s opening episodes
Star Joins ‘Black Mirror’
In June 2019, Black Mirror made its most recent Netflix debut. A change in the studios responsible for the production of the famous dystopian series contributed to its three-year disappearance. Charlie Brooker, the creator and screenwriter of the television series, left House of Tomorrow, which owned the rights to the programme and was supported by Endemol Shine Group, postponing development for more seasons. After establishing a partnership with the Banijay Group, who now own Endemol, Netflix was able to revive the series. The sixth season of Black Mirror will now air on Netflix through Brooker-owned company Broke & Bones.

Culkin, the younger brother of actors Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone) and Kieran Culkin (Succession), began his career alongside his elder siblings, occasionally taking on the roles of their younger selves. Following his brothers, he would make his debut with Kenneth Lonergan’s drama You Can Count on Me, winning a Young Artist Award in the process. His work with Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix in the science fiction horror film Signs (2000) is what most people remember him for. Culkin most recently played Samuel Lafferty, one of the Lafferty brothers, in the short series Under the Banner of Heaven. Culkin’s list of Netflix endeavours already includes the biographical series Halston and Black Mirror.
