Yellowjackets’ first season did a fantastic job with New Yellowjackets Character character introductions and had a way of making us care about every single character. Even if they only appeared briefly on screen. But, because the show was still getting its footing, it had to be choosy about what and who it showcased. The second season of the program is now able to truly sink its teeth into its supporting characters and world design a little more, and it does just that, thanks to widespread acclaim and a greater budget.
In both the past and current timelines, the tale feels more expansive, and the characters seem more dynamic as well. In addition to learning more about the lives and backstories of the existing individuals. We also meet several new ones, with Crystal standing out among them all (Nuha Jes Izman). She is not just a new character on the show. But she also starts a bond with another character that could be harmful to her.
New Yellowjackets Character: Who Exactly is Crystal?
Although she has theoretically always existed, New Yellowjackets Character Crystal was never really depicted in the first season of the show. She is however given a prominent role in the Season 2 premiere along with the other previously introduced characters. As she was chosen to fly with the senior squad to Nationals, Crystal, a member of the Yellowjackets who often plays for the JV team. Finds herself on the unfortunate aircraft.
Perhaps as a result of her age difference from the rest of the team, Crystal has a more vivacious demeanour. The team, however, doesn’t find her as endearing as they do. Despite the fact that she might bring the audience some joy in contrast to the very hopeless circumstances they are all in. Actually, most of her interactions with the other members of the team involve their reprimanding her for constantly singing and humming show tunes. Crystal is the team’s resident theatre nerd, and it’s because of this quality that she and Misty Quigley. Another team member, develop an unexpected but intriguing bond (Sammi Hanratty).
The two become close friends over their love of musical theatre and show tunes. They experience a sense of community in one another that must feel like a ray of hope given their predicament. But is it truly as easy as it appears to be? Is it possible to have a straightforward friendship when it involves Misty Quigley? We certainly hope so, if only for Crystal.
Crystal and Misty: An Unexpected Friendship Blossoms
New Yellowjackets Character Crystal and Misty have struck up an unlikely friendship based on their shared feelings of being outsiders in the Yellowjackets team. While Misty has been ostracized due to her actions in Season 1. Crystal is younger and tends to annoy the rest of the team with her singing. However, Misty’s intentions are questionable. As her past behavior suggests a hero complex and a possible case of Munchausen syndrome by proxy. This begs the question of whether their friendship is genuine or if it will end in tragedy.
Despite Misty’s questionable behavior, it’s refreshing to see her find a true friend. Especially given her isolation from the rest of the team. The dynamic between Crystal and Misty is unpredictable and could lead to interesting developments. Yellowjackets Season 2 airs every Friday on the Showtime streaming app and every Sunday on-air.
