Three spin-off series of The Walking Dead have been produced: Tales of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and Fear The Walking Dead. More Walking Dead spin-offs are planned, such as Daryl Dixon, in which Norman Reedus, a Walking Dead veteran, reprises his role as Daryl trying to piece together how he got to Europe, and the untitled Rick & Michonne spin-off series, which will focus on Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln’s characters from the Walking Dead. The Walking Dead: Dead City, which premieres on television this spring, serves as the franchise’s new beginning.

Dead City will follow Maggie Rhee, who is portrayed by Lauren Cohan (The Boy), and Negan Smith, who is portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural), two former members of The Walking Dead. Given that Negan murdered Maggie Rhee’s husband Glenn Rhee (played by Steven Yeun) in season seven of The Walking Dead, fans of the original series may be a little surprised to see these two working together. Maggie harboured a hatred against Negan ever since, but in the final season, things were patched up. It will need to trust Negan even if she has never forgiven him in order to continue alive in their post-apocalyptic society. Maggie and Negan’s story is certain to be turbulent and exciting given their murky past and the death that surrounds them.

The dead and residents who have turned New York City into their own realm of chaos, danger, beauty, and terror are scattered across the decaying city.
Maggie and Negan meet local New Yorkers while in the city, avoid a marshal with a checkered background, and look for a notorious killer. However, it soon becomes clear that the traumas of their turbulent past may prove to be just as great a threat as the dangers of the present as the pair ventures further into the grimy depths of the walker-infested metropolis.

Maggie and Negan’s problems have many facets, starting with their troubled past and continuing with mutated walker-monsters, a killer on the loose, and navigating a newly developed post-apocalyptic community that lives on rooftops. It will be a thrilling adventure through Manhattan’s abandoned towers and nostalgic remembrances in Dead City.
Who is Creating ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’
