It is quite evident that after so many years, video game films and television series have finally received the boost they were waiting for. The days of weird and inaccurate adaptations, such as the terrible Halo trilogy and the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie, are long gone. Now that The Super Mario Bros. Movie has made over $1 billion at the box office and HBO’s The Last of Us is a smash hit critical darling, gamers (and studio executives) have plenty of reasons to celebrate. More often than not, recent success in the genre has resulted in projects that were formerly stuck in development hell obtaining a miraculous revival, as in the case of the upcoming Gears of War movie finally gaining traction. In this content you will know about Twisted Metal 2023: Release Date, Cast and more.

There have been rumours of a live-action Twisted Metal video game series for years, produced by Sony and PlayStation. Given that the games aren’t exactly recognised for their compelling tales, Twisted Metal is undoubtedly one of the more unexpected series to choose for a movie or television programme. The games keep things straightforward and to the point while letting players use vehicles right out of a Mad Max movie to blow up anything in their way. The games basically boil down to that, and, to be honest, fans of the games wouldn’t have it any other way. That being said, the Twisted Metal series is already sounding like a wild journey with its impressive cast and crew.
Twisted Metal 2023: Release Date
Twisted Metal will begin to crash onto screens on Thursday, July 27, 2023, so you’ll want to get your car prepared for the end of the world by this summer. The half-hour series’ full release schedule has not yet been revealed, although it is expected to adhere to the Peacock’s historical release schedules and have one of the ten total episodes premiere every Thursday starting on July 27.
Twisted Metal 2023: Cast
Anthony Mackie will be navigating Twisted Metal’s dangerous setting as protagonist John Doe after playing Sam Wilson in Captain America: New World Order in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although he goes by the moniker John Doe in the games, he is actually an amnesic with no memory of who or what he used to be. A Twisted Metal narrative wouldn’t be complete without Marcus “Needles” Kane, popularly known as Sweet Tooth, even though Doe’s inclusion is exciting. The Arrested Development actor Will Arnett will voice the show’s mascot, who will be physically represented by WWE wrestler Samoa Joe.

Stephanie Beatriz, who starred in the movie Encanto, will play the original character Quiet, while Thomas Haden Church, who co-starred in Sideways, will play Agent Stone, a government agent. Neve Campbell (Scream), Richard Cabral (End of Watch), Mike Mitchell (The Tomorrow War), Tahj Vaughns (P-Valley), and Lou Beatty Jr. (Finding Normal) are just a few of the guest actors scheduled to feature in the series.
Creators of Twisted Metal
Twisted Metal’s showrunners are Cobra Kai writer Michael Jonathan Smith and Deadpool co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who also contributed to the screenplay. Along with Anthony Mackie and Will Arnett, producers Reese and Wernick will also be working on this project. As of now, Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip), Bill Benz (Portlandia), and Jude Weng (Finding ‘Ohana) have all been announced as the series’ directors.

The Cobra Kai composers Leo Birenberg and Zach Robinson, Are You Afraid of the Dark director James McMillan, and A League of Their Own production designer Victoria Paul are all on the film’s team.
Will there be a season 2 of Twisted Metal?
That all hinges on how Twisted Metal performs in terms of audience and critical acclaim. You can bet your bottom dollar that if the show is a hit, we’ll see this post-apocalyptic wasteland once more.
